Changing Hearts: Men Following Christ

Men Following Christ is a monthly gathering of men with the goal of inspiring one another with the message that we are all a work in progress, being made perfect through the love and sacrifice of Jesus Christ. 

The biblically-based content and discussion are open to men of all ages looking to grow in their walk with Jesus Christ, as well as be inspired by our speakers and the testimonies shared by other men.

Our History

We believe if a man’s heart is changed, causing him to be a devoted follower of Christ, then likely his relationship with his spouse will change for the better, as will his relationship with his family, church, community, and so on.

Men Following Christ was originally formed in 1999 and the group meets on a monthly basis, usually in Warsaw or Winona Lake. Men from more than 40 different churches and a variety of denominations gather together to learn, be inspired, and uplift one another.

Don Clemens and Rod Mayer decided to start the group after seeing similarities in their passions and beliefs. Using that common ground, they realized they both had an interest in helping men grow spiritually.

Monthly Gatherings

The themes of the group’s monthly gatherings are based on four foundations:

• Fatherhood of God
• Deity of Christ
• Personality of the Holy Spirit
• Divine Inspiration of the Bible

Another objective of Men Following Christ is to have men establish disciple groups in their own churches. This is accomplished through the Church Captains Program, where two men from each of the churches go back to their church and establish the disciple groups, as well as strive to help their pastor minister to the men in the church.

Men Following Christ meetings are currently being held on the last Saturday of each month from January – November in the Grace College cafeteria.
